Craig's not the only one who makes lists

I don't know if it's the super control freak within me or the psychotic need to see things in writing I possess, but I love to make lists. I do it daily, although they aren't always on paper. I make lists for what I need to do each day, what I want to buy, what I like, new music I want, things I need to remember, etc. etc.
It's almost ridiculous, but what can I say? I love a good list! So when I came across this post ( on hula seventy I got really, really excited. Needless to say it put me in the list making mood once again! (not that I was ever out of that mood...)
Ok, moral of the story is I wanted to make a list and share it with you. Here is a list of things I love.

1. A surprise ball. I would love to make one of these someday. Better yet, I would love to receive one of these someday!

2. This cover of Lady Ga Ga's Bad Romance. I loathed Lady G before I saw this. Come to think of it, I still loathe her, however her songs aren't half bad when song by someone (anyone) else.

3. Orla Kiely and her magical ways of clothe-making. Seriously brilliant and stunning.

4. This:

5. Chalkboard kitchen cabinets. I seriously want to do this to my kitchen someday. Better yet, the parents are gone today...

6. Pinwheel rings
. So cute, I'm definitely making one.

7. Amazing not-so-ordinary floors. The penny one is actually really pretty, and I love the salami one!

8. Pirate captains. And this:

9. Greek yogurt with fruit. Best invention ever. I could eat it alllll day. I want some right now except we're all out. I wonder who ate the whole thing?

10. Dan Humphrey. I've been watching lots of gossip girl lately...can you tell? Don't judge me kids-the view is fantastic :)

Just a little list to make your internet adventures a little more interesting :)

3 more days til vacation time! woo! Tomorrow I am hosting a cupcake and jewelry making party for some Jr. High girls. I love the necklaces I'm teaching them how to make! hopefully they will enjoy it. Well I'm off! So much to prepare for-I need to make some lists! ;)

Recipe for a Vacation

Noah, Aaron, Jenna, Colin, & Ian will be here in exactly 8 days, and I am SO excited! I am already dreaming about what we are going to do, what I am going to wear, and what I need to do to prepare. I think looking forward to a vacation and getting ready for it is almost as fun as being on vacation (almost.) Now for the next 8 days I will be passing the time by completing my checklist for a perfect vacation.

1. A cute bathing suit. I have been loving the ones H&M has to offer, and they're so cheap! I've actually given Noah specific instructions to buy me one before he gets out here. I really want the one on the very left of the first image. But really, any will do :)

Now if I only had the model body to go in the swimsuit...maybe next summer ;)

2. The perfect getaway place

Check :)

3. A cute bike to ride with my cute boy
(images from calivintage)

unfortunately I don't think this one will come true in 8 days. But a girl can dream.

4. Shades

I already have around 8 pairs, but I consider sunglasses to be on the same level of shoes. There is no limit.

6. A Camera, for obvious reasons

Unfortunately I only own one of the above cameras, and it's the cheapest one :) nevertheless I am excited to bust out the old fuji instax again, I haven't taken any instants yet this summer.

5. Otter Pops

I don't care what Noah says, they are called Otter Pops and they always will be.

6. Heat

And I'm not talking about 70 degrees with a windchill of 65. I'm talking no less than 80, no more than 100, limited cloud cover, little humidity, perfection. I think this state owes me that much after the month and a week of straight up crap we've had.

7. Summer Tunes

I prefer the kings of summer themselves.

8. Delicious vacation food; campfire, BBQ, breakfast with freshly picked huckleberries, or whatever it may be.

9. And while fireworks would be lovely on any vacation, if it's over the 4th of July it's a necessity.

Sparklers are still my favorite even though I'm terrified to hold them. (seriously, why do we give them to children? they really are dangerous!)

The excitement is bubbling and bubbling and bubbling inside of me! I can't waaaaiiiit! but, as usual, I am already thinking about what it will be like after the vacation and the depressive lack of excitement that will ensue. Oh well, only happy thoughts for the next 15 days. I can mourn after that.

What are you looking forward to these next few warm months?

I am the worst blogger ever.

It's true. But I guess I'm ok with it. I'm new at this after all.

Well, I regret to inform you that this post is not even going to make up for the lack of blogging. It's just to say that I'm still here. I'm off to take a much needed nap and then it's Mexican food with some friends!

A moment to share my excitement...

In 17 days I will be taking a vacation. Not just any vacation, but one where I will see the most important boys in my life. That's right-my nephews are coming to see me! But that's not all-boyfriendbear surprised me and bought a plane ticket to come visit as well! I was ecstatic. We had already decided that it was basically impossible for him to come, meaning we would be spending 4 months apart.

Sigh, I couldn't be happier. We will be spending time up in the mountains in a cabin over the 4th of July, possibly with my aunt, uncle, and cousins as well. It's going to be wonderful!

I wouldn't be a proud auntie if I didn't show you all some pictures of Colin (5) & Ian (16 months). I realize I'm biased, but I'm positive they're the cutest, smartest boys on the planet.

And here are some pictures of Noah's visit last summer. I have a feeling this one is going to be even better :)

Thanks for letting me share my excitement!
P.S., the job is going wonderfully! I absolutely love it. I can't wait to have clients of my own next week!
